FAQ
Q: Can I play my character from a different sim here?
A: No, the Witcherverse's lore is very specific and it often clashes with other roleplay sim's lores. Nor do we allow travelers from other dimensions to visit the sim.
Q: I want to play a race that's not on the application, how do I go about this?
A: We only allow races that exist in the Witcherverse, which are listed on the application. Your race might be categorized as a monster race (see bestiary) and might require you to unlock playing them first. Any other races (drows, fae, garous ect) aren't allowed, nor will we make an exception for you.
Q: How long does it generally take for my character application to get approved?
A: The time it takes you to hit the submit button on your application! Once you've submitted your application you're free to start roleplaying! An admin will send you the group invitations to your applicable factions/groups when they have the time, that won't stop you from roleplaying there already, though! The application itself will be recorded in our database and give a good 'baseline' of your character and selected stats and traits.
Q: Can I reset my stats and talents after I've created my character?
A: We'll allow everyone one reallocation for their stats and talents after they've made their characters, in case they're unhappy with their choices. After that, though, you probably won't get another one, so make sure you read the pages regarding stats and talents before you submit your character application!
Q: Where can I apply for an IC leadership position or business?
A: You don't! Leadership positions will need to be earned ICly, this means that for example, if your character wants to lead the Scoia'Tael, you'll need to convince the other characters to follow you! This also means that there's no OOC protection for your leadership position, and your character can be overthrown, or the group split into several smaller bands and so forth. Garren's Mill will feature a city council players can be elected on, which rules the city. Ownership of a business can be acquired by working there ICly for a long amount of time and your character eventually buying the property ICly.
Q: How do I become a mentor, moderator or admin?
A: There are no applications for any OOC positions within the sim, if you want to help the sim out, just roleplaying here and telling your friends about it means a lot to us already! If we see players actively helping newer players get settled, answering their questions and so forth, we may ask them to become a mentor. Same for if we notice someone's level headed and knowledgeable on the lore, we may ask them to become a moderator. Please don't ask us if you can become any of these things, though!
